How It Works

From first call to finished part

A clear process built around your timeline. We scope the project, quote tooling and material, build prototype patterns, and cast aluminum production molds that hold up across high volume runs.

The Process

Details covered, parts held to print

With over four decades in business, you can be confident that we have all the necessary details covered for competitive pricing and parts quality controlled for appearance and print specifications.

Our Process

Four steps from scope to production

Most projects move through these stages. If you already have tooling, we pick up at production quoting.

1

Step 1: Scope the project

When Hill Plastics is first contacted, our sales team talks with you to identify the scope of your production part project. We identify the quantity, part design, function, and material expectations.

2

Step 2: Quote tooling, parts, and material

After this initial information is reviewed, our company goes to work quoting the proper tooling, production parts, and material to achieve a cost effective approach. We usually form prototypes using a wooden master pattern machined to print specifications.

3

Step 3: Prototype, then approve

After prototyping, changes are made if necessary and the final parts are approved for production. The master pattern is then used to make aluminum cast production molds.

4

Step 4: Existing tooling welcome

If you have existing molds (tooling), we will quote production parts based on your mold size and selected material.
